What Happens After You Die?
Have you ever wondered what happens after you die you just go straight to heaven or hell right well that’s not always the case there is a test that you have to go through first, are you curious yet, yes good then let me tell you a story the story of Steven Smith a Italian immigrant who died but he is confused this story is from his perspective.
The date is Saturday June 18th,2003 you wake up just like a normal person would right coffee, walk the dog, shower, and get dressed and go to work but the one thing you don’t understand is why can't they see you, you wave and say hello but they don’t answer are they ignoring you, you get confused you think are these people really this rude I don’t even know them then you remember the sad horrible truth, your dead, you’ve known all along because you’ve been gone for over 20 years you just go to bed every night hopping it’s a bad dream. Every time you remember you remember how you died.
It is Wednesday August 13th,1980 you go to work one day when you meet a stranger you apologize and continue through your day you work late on your way home you start to hear footsteps behind you, you turn around and see the man you bumped into earlier running at you with a knife you black out and the last thing you remember is the lights and the hospital and the flatline beep of the monitor, you died. You think of that day everyday thinking is this hell is this my punishment.
Each day as you think you stare at a picture of your family as they grieve for you even after 20 years, your wife refusing to remarry, your kids your kids in their room watching memories of you. You then see one thing that gives you feeling, feeling of pain, you watch your son go to the bathroom the feeling increases you go just to see him cutting his wrists you scream “NO!!!!”
He looks up and to the side and looks at you, but you think he is looking at the door and you hear him say, “D... Dad?”
You look at him in confusion but also relief, and you ask him, “why son, you do you give yourself pain.”
He responds in tears “I miss you dad and I'm getting bullied at school, they are making fun of you oh how stupid blah blah blah”.
“I believe in you son I will always be with you.” grabbing his bleeding arm. Suddenly it went black we both woke up as it were a dream his arms healed.
Every time I try to talk to him again it doesn't work. He talks to his mom about it and they eventually left thinking it was making them go insane. You sit there wondering if there is a way out but there is only one-way heaven or hell but your fait hasn’t been decided yet. You sit there just wondering have I done right or have I done wrong. Each day you cry hoping, waiting that its ok if your family is ok. Until you just sit there all alone not knowing what’s next for you, you have nothing left to do but think, think of all you’ve done and hope you reach a happy end and not an eternal torture, so you wait day after day year after year until it is time for your fate.
You go to sleep one day and you awake to a bright light and stairs it is time for your fate you think as you walk the stairs. You lay your eyes upon God the fallen angel Satan and Jesus. You go hoping its good the devil giggling and Jesus smiling at you, you look up to them and wait. The next words you hear are from God himself.
“Hello my son, we have been waiting for you.”
With the swift forgiveness of Christ, you are set free into heaven where you feel a little more at ease happier. You take one last glance at your family and god as you go into eternal life.
