"Rituals of Memory"
Kimberly Blaeser's article "Rituals of Memory" talks about her dual culture.
Blaeser compares her friends hair to our relationships to family, place, and community because, they are all connected. Blaeser argues that our memories and the stories we tell make us who we are. Sue uses the memory of Memorial Days spent with the Legionaries visiting cemeteries and the Indian burial grounds as an example of a time when her two cultures came together. Blaeser spends time with her culture and school and they are both important to her. She argues that our memories and stories define us.
